Posted in Uncategorized by rain4sahara on January 17, 2011

RAIN is thrilled to announce a $50,000 grant from Newman’s Own Foundation.  The grant, awarded as the Foundation passed $300 million in charitable giving, will support RAIN’s education programs in Niger, including our Girls’ Mentoring and Scholarship Program, practical skills training and adult literacy in our partner nomadic communities

This grant will make possible the expansion of RAIN’s successful mentoring program, and will allow us to offer literacy and practical skills training to more communities. School supporting businesses, such as women’s artisan cooperatives, will also get a boost from this generous grant!
